Our Process

A practical remodeling process built to keep homeowners informed from planning through completion.

1. Discover

We begin by learning how you use your space, what is not working, and what you want the finished result to accomplish.

2. Plan

We organize priorities, establish scope, and help shape a realistic path forward for your remodel.

3. Select

Materials, finishes, fixtures, and layout decisions are coordinated so the design feels cohesive and intentional.

4. Build

Construction is carried out with an emphasis on craftsmanship, jobsite respect, and steady communication.

5. Complete

We finish with a careful walkthrough to confirm the work reflects the agreed vision and quality expectations.

What each step looks like in practice

1. Discover — the initial consultation

The first conversation usually happens on site. We walk through your home with you, look at the spaces you want to change, and listen to how you actually use them. We ask about what is and is not working, what you have already tried, and what you want the finished result to do for your daily life. This consultation is free, takes about an hour, and carries no commitment.

2. Plan — scope and feasibility

Once we understand the goals, we help shape a practical scope. That includes what is and is not possible given the existing structure, what will and will not require permits, and a realistic range for what a project like this typically costs in your area. This is the stage where we align expectations before any design dollars are spent.

3. Design and select

We develop drawings and specifications, review them with you, and refine until the plan reflects what you actually want. Material, finish, and fixture selections happen in parallel — cabinets, countertops, tile, flooring, paint, hardware, lighting. We help narrow choices to options that fit the design intent, your budget, and the lead times available.

4. Permits and pre-construction

We handle the permit applications with your local building department and coordinate any structural, electrical, plumbing, or mechanical reviews the project requires. Before demolition begins, we confirm the schedule, the site protection plan, the access and parking logistics, and the communication cadence for the duration of the build.

5. Construction

Our team shows up on time, contains the work area, and keeps the rest of your home livable. You receive regular updates on progress and any decisions that need your input. Inspections happen at the milestones each municipality requires, and we coordinate those with the building department directly.

6. Final walkthrough and warranty

Before we call a project complete, we walk through it together. Anything that needs correction goes on a punchlist and gets handled before we hand over final documentation. Workmanship is covered by warranty, and we stand behind the work after the project closes out.
